Our Story

Music for the Heart
We are the LeBaron family. We met and fell in love in Chicago, and today we are raising our three children in the heart of the city we love. As lifelong members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, our home has always been anchored by the gospel—and by music.
Shout For Joy was born from a simple desire: we wanted to bring the weekly Come, Follow Me curriculum to life for our own kids. We wanted a way to help the scriptures move from the page and into our children’s hearts through a visual and musical ritual they would actually look forward to.
The Hearts Behind the Music
Between the two of us, we’ve spent well over a decade parenting and serving children and youth in a variety of church settings. We’ve seen firsthand how music can teach deep, eternal truths in ways that lessons alone sometimes can’t—and how a catchy melody can stay with a child for a lifetime.
Bob has been writing music since junior high and continued through college, where he formed the band LeBaron.
Mary has spent years working closely with children and youth, and her love for music grew as she watched how quickly songs could light up a child’s testimony.
We are a family of music lovers and concert-goers. We believe that a powerful lyric can offer protection, and that an uplifting chorus can provide strength when it’s needed most.
Our Mission
We created this site to provide a high-quality visual and audio experience for families. By combining engaging artwork with modern pop production, our goal is to make Bible and Book of Mormon stories approachable and relatable for children today.
Our hope is simple: to help your family sing the scriptures and live the joy. We pray these weekly anthems become a meaningful part of your family’s journey of discipleship.
